PromoPlan: Settings (Promotion Types and Statuses)

Manage your own lists of promotion types and statuses, with the colour tone each status carries across the app.

Your lists, not ours

The Settings page (bottom of the PromoPlan sidebar) holds two lists your company manages itself. They start seeded with sensible defaults and are yours to shape from there. Changes are administrator-only.

Promotion types

The options offered in the builder's Promotion type select: Manufacturer to Retailer, Wholesaler to Retailer, and so on. Add the ones your business uses, rename, or remove ones you never pick. Renaming or deleting a type never rewrites promotions that already carry the old value; it only changes what is offered from now on.

Statuses

The pipeline a promotion moves through. The defaults are Not sent, Sent and not confirmed, Sent and confirmed, Sent and changes requested, and Sent and declined. Each status carries a tone (neutral, active, positive, attention, or negative) that sets its badge colour everywhere: the planner, the calendar, bulk edit, and the promotion detail.

  • Add a status for any extra step your process has ("Samples sent", "In review with buyer") and give it the tone that matches how it should read.

  • Every status dropdown in PromoPlan offers your managed list.

  • As with types, renaming or deleting never rewrites existing promotions.

Related settings that live elsewhere

  • Default promotion dates and start day are set per retailer, in the retailer's settings on the Retailers page.

  • Price tiers and store groups are managed on the Price list page.

  • Default table layouts are saved from each table's Columns menu (see "Choosing Table Columns and Saved Views").
